HOMAGE

Tasked with finding blogs to influence my own, the only one I could think to look to was Printeresting.

This website is rife with contemporary printmaking fodder, and helps bring us Ivory-Tower-Bottom-Feeders* to a more visible spectrum.

Incidentally they did tour of Sonoma State's printshop and student studios last year, photographically capturing the capital of my mental ails and stress. They did a good job; fifty miles from the place and I'm starting to feel anxious. I should probably make myself a sandwich or something.

To view the Sonoma State printshop tour, sashay this way: BITCHIN'

Lets hope one day I get my shit together and can follow their example of dopeness.

Some practice:

What I like to call my "Tomb with a View"

This is Bandit. She loves the printshop too.

*LEGEND OF THE IVORY TOWER:
Few weeks ago my lithography professor was explaining to the class how printmakers are "at the bottom of the ivory tower". Meaning that their exposure value is far less than say, a painter or a sculptor or, I guess these days an illustrator or a graphic designer. And everyone thinks you make wedding invitations. It's kind of like Dante's Inferno but with art. which puts printmakers like, right there:
